welcome brandon utley!

After prayerful consideration, the Personnel Committee and I are pleased to announce the hiring of our church custodian, Brandon Utley. Brandon comes highly recommended by his colleagues in our Rutherford County School’s system. CrossWay will benefit from his experience as a Lead Custodian at Christiana Elementary and currently Oakland High School. I pray that we are a blessing to him. Be sure to make Brandon feel welcome and thank him for his work. His part-time position begins on April 1. If you would like to send him a quick message welcoming him to the CrossWay family, his email is Brandon@CrossWayFamily.org. ~Pastor Sherman

SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIP FUND

CAMP IS LIFE-CHANGING!  Although our Kids and Youth will host a few fundraisers to help offset its cost, Summer Camp can still be difficult for many families to afford.  Especially those with multiple kids.  To help bridge the gap for families who need additional assistance after the fundraisers are completed, we are establishing a NexGen Camp Scholarship Fund.  If you would like to donate towards this fund to ensure that no kid misses camp because of financial reasons, you may submit your gift by cash or check.  Simply designate that the gift is for the Camp Scholarship Fund.  The cost of Kids Camp is $185 while the cost of Youth Camp is $317.

FELLOWSHIP MEALS, AWANA, & MIDWEEK CLASSES

Each Wednesday, our Fellowship Meal will be held from 5:00pm - 5:45pm. Adult meals will be $4 and kid’s meals (12 and under) will be $3. The meal will be followed by Awana (kids) at 6:00pm, Student Worship (youth), & Adult Classes (The Book of Exodus & Life on Mission). The nursery will be available to class attendees & volunteers. All classes (except AWANA) are from 6:15pm - 7:30pm.  If you are signing up for a meal, please use one of the cards in the bulletins. Checks can be paid on Sunday in the offering plate or the night of the meal. Cash needs to be paid the night of the meal. Thank you!

new wednesday night classes

Class One: The Book of Exodus – Taught by Trent Ducett (this class will be for the remainder of the spring semester)

We will follow Israel’s journey through the Red Sea, across the wilderness, and eventually to Mount Sinai – rediscovering the glory of the God who rescues and redeems sinners, even in the midst of their unfaithfulness. Join me on an eleven week walk through the book of Shemot – Exodus.

Class Two: Life on Mission & Handling Stress

Life on Mission

It is as simple as three circles. Too often we overcomplicate the gospel and give in to fears that a conversation about our faith is going to be awkward or unnatural. This five-week study will help you confidently share your faith with friends, family, and neighbors, using just three circles.

**Upon completion of Life on Mission, we will begin Handling Stress, which will continue until the end of the spring semester. It is a study teaching us the difference between helpful & harmful stress and how we can experience God’s peace no matter the circumstances.

AUDIO/VISUAL TEAM MEMBERS NEEDED!

The Multimedia Team is looking for additional team members to add to their rotation. The team is responsible for running the screens to display the song lyrics, sermon points, announcements, etc. Training will be provided. If you are interested in serving on this team, please contact Philip Davenport or the church office.

FRONT DESK VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We are looking for smiling faces, who are able to work with computers & iPads, and help get our kids safely to their classes. If you would like more information on volunteering for the Front Desk, please contact Becca Conrey or the church office.

DISCIPLENOW WEEKEND FOR YOUTH

This Spring, April 5-7, our Youth Group will participate in an in-town, weekend retreat called DiscipleNow (DNow).  During DNow, youth will stay in host homes and participate in small group bible study, large group worship times, mission projects, and fun activities.  This weekend will be a great time for our youth to deepen their relationships with each other as they study together what it means to be a growing disciple of Jesus.  The cost for DNow is $20. To register for DNow, or any other event, visit crosswayfamily.churchcenter.com  and click the “Register for an Event” button.
