CROSSWAY MEMBERSHIP CLASS - JANUARY

Membership Class is the NEXT STEP for those who want to identify with CrossWay as their Church Family. This class will meet at 9am on Sunday, January 20th. Our Membership Class is offered 4 times a year and participation in this class is a necessary step for membership at CrossWay. CROSSWAY MISSIONS PARTNER – STEPPING STONES

-1 night a month (4th Friday of each month)

-2 meals (dinner & breakfast)

SINCE MAY 2016

-318 homeless women & children hosted

-300 serving opportunities filled by CrossWay volunteers

-32 nights of rest in a safe space

Regardless of how women become homeless – abuse, human trafficking, or other reasons – Stepping Stones provides support focused on human development, recovery, and self-help. One mom shared that she was “thankful to be here and not sleeping on the sidewalk.” If you would like to volunteer to help with this great ministry, please contact Philip Davenport at pdavenport@mtemc.com.

DISCIPLENOW WEEKEND FOR YOUTH

This Spring, April 5-7, our Youth Group will participate in an in-town, weekend retreat called DiscipleNow (DNow).  During DNow, youth will stay in host homes and participate in small group bible study, large group worship times, mission projects, and fun activities.  This weekend will be a great time for our youth to deepen their relationships with each other as they study together what it means to be a growing disciple of Jesus.  The cost for DNow is $20 but this fee is waived for any youth who registers and pays for Summer Camp by January 31.  To register for DNow, or any other event, simply visit CrossWayFamily.ChurchCenter.com and click the “Register for an Event” button.

FRONT DESK VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We are looking for smiling faces, who are able to work with computers & ipads and our kids get to their assigned classes. If you would like more information on volunteering for the Front Desk, please contact Becca Conrey at beccaconrey@hotmail.com.

WOMEN ON MISSION – TAB DRIVE

The Women on Mission of our church are collecting tabs (from drink, soup, and other cans) for the Ronald McDonald House. One tab does not seem like much; however, if we are all collecting the results can be significant. One house collected $7,000 worth in one year! The House is available to the family of children who are in the hospital. The family can sleep there and eat their meals with no cost to them. The Women on Mission would like to ask our church family to join us in this effort.
