March 17 Update

Dear CrossWay Family,

At this point, it would be foolish if not sinful (Romans 13) to ignore the strong recommendations of our Governor, President, and the Centers for Disease Control. I've spoken to the Mayor's office and our TN Baptist President, and both urge us to heed the advice that we don't gather in groups of more than ten persons.

Therefore, we will not gather in person for the next two weeks. We will send an email out later in the week with instructions on how to access the live stream of our Worship Service(s). We are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to update you.

If you're elderly or have a medical condition that makes you vulnerable, please let us know how we can serve you.

Please continue to give online at CrossWayFamily.org/give. You may also mail your tithes/offering to the Church Office at 4194 Shelbyville Hwy, Murfreesboro, TN 37127.

SCHEDULE-CHANGE HIGHLIGHTS FOR MARCH 22 & 29.

  • We will have no services at CrossWay.
  • We will livestream a worship service on our FaceBook Page.  Time TBD.

Initial statement from our pastor in response to the covid-19 virus.

Dear CrossWay Family,

As you may know, the first confirmed case of Coronavirus, COVID-19, has been confirmed in the Middle Tennessee Area. It appears to be an isolated case, and the Tennessee Department of Health has maintained that the overall risk to the general public remains low.

Our church leadership has made some considerations to be diligent. Here are some of what we are implementing.

  • We have provided numerous hand sanitizer stations located throughout the church.

  • We have provided industrial grade soap in all restrooms.

  • We have provided industrial-grade disinfectants for use by teachers between

    classes.

  • We have implemented an extra level of sanitation before Sunday services.

Specifically, in spaces occupied by Senior Adults and Children.

  • We're asking that if you're sick, please stay home.

  • We're asking our staff to spend only on essentials until further notice.

  • We're asking that you respectfully engage without shaking hands or hugs.

  • We're not going to schedule any additional large group gatherings outside of our
  • regular schedule and what's already been planned.
  • We're asking that if you're sick, please don't come to church.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and plan accordingly by the guidelines and recommendations set by the CDC and local authorities.

Lastly, this is an opportunity for us to show wisdom and also love for our neighbors as we live in a world groaning for the return of Christ (Romans 8:22–24). We won't live in fear, but we will walk in wisdom together until that Day.
